About

My professional career started in newspaper.  I worked for three newspapers over the course of seven years and was community editor for The Weirton Daily Times for nearly three of those years. As an editor, I proofread manuscripts to make them readable and fit proper English grammar according to the AP Stylebook, while maintaining the voice of the original writer.

For about three years, I was an independent blogger, creating compelling Web copy and solid content in a variety of genres. Through blogging, I learned to combine resourceful information with a personal flair, mixing both formal and informal speech into an elegant work of art.

For the past 14 years, I’ve worked as an independent contractor for BARE International. As an editor in quality control, I polished up reports, ensuring readability and proper grammar while also fixing inconsistencies and contradictions. I’ve worked at BARE with 10 different clients, meeting each of their unique needs.

I started my virtual assistant business a couple of years ago to fulfill my desire to work directly with professionals looking to organize their workflow and grow their businesses. I update websites and member databases, manage social media accounts and multiple inboxes, liaise with business leaders, conduct research relevant to my clients’ needs, as well as a host of other tasks. I particularly specialize in supporting nonprofit organizations in need of streamlining tasks and optimizing operational systems.

On a personal level, I enjoy fitness, particularly weight lifting and sleep health.  In my spare time, I work on improving my intermediate Spanish language learning skills.  I’m based in Columbus, OH, and I love the cuisine of this diverse city.

I have a strong drive to continue learning and bettering myself both professionally and personally.

I look forward to working with you!
